Policy Director

A graduate of Hull University, Katie’s career in transport policy extends back to 1998. 

Her career includes 5 years serving as head of Research at the UK Commission for Integrated Transport, 4 as Consultant Editor on Policy and adviser on public affairs and PR at leading industry publication Transport Times, and 2 as Senior Policy Adviser to modal shift campaign Greener Journeys.

Katie was the adviser to the high level judging panel for the National Transport Awards for 10 years.

Between 2012 and 2013, Katie was Director of Policy & Research at European Rail Congress where she worked with a core advisory group of MEPs from the European Parliament’s Transport & Tourism Committee as well as a wide range of Commission officials.

As well as leading for Cogitamus on transport policy developments across all modes, Katie is our anchor in Cardiff where she is based, facilitating especially detailed knowledge of the work of the Welsh Government and the National Assembly.
