Mae&#8217;n sicr y bydd hyn yn ei dro yn ei gwneud yn ofynnol i GBR ddeall llwybr perfformiad ariannol ar y llwybr; fel gyda chymaint o agweddau ar bolisi rheilffyrdd, mae&#8217;r Alban ymhell ymlaen ar y mater hwn. Wedi&#8217;i gladdu ar wefan Scotrail ceir dadansoddiad manwl o berfformiad ariannol pob llwybr ar gyfer 2019\/20, cyn effaith fawr y pandemig. Mae amrywiaeth o fetrigau, sy&#8217;n cwmpasu cost, teithiau teithwyr a refeniw, ac felly refeniw cyfartalog fesul taith, pellter teithio cyfartalog a milltiroedd sedd.<\/p>\n<p>Mae rhai o&#8217;r canlyniadau&#8217;n drawiadol, ac mae llawer o&#8217;r metrigau allweddol yn ddifrifol. Dangosir hyn gan y ffordd y mae Cwmn\u00efau Gweithredu Trenau unigol yn dal i fod yn mynd eu ffordd eu hunain ar lefelau gwasanaeth a chynllunio amserlenni, er bod y dasg hon yn sbardun allweddol i gost a refeniw.<\/p>\n<p>Felly, mae Gogledd Ddwyrain Llundain i bob pwrpas wedi adfer lefelau gwasanaeth cyn covid llawn ond nid yw Arfordir Gorllewin Avanti wedi gwneud hynny \u2013 dim ond dau dr\u00ean yr awr o Euston i Birmingham a ddangosodd amserlen Rhagfyr 2021, yn hytrach na&#8217;r tri a oedd wedi gweithredu ers 2008. Mae&#8217;n ddigon posibl y bydd gwasanaeth bob hanner awr yn ddigonol ar gyfer y galw presennol, ond gyda chyfnod o dri deg munud. Fodd bynnag, byddai&#8217;n anodd cyflawni hyn heb ail-ysgrifennu amserlen gyfan Arfordir y Gorllewin, felly mae&#8217;r canlyniad yn wasanaeth llai deniadol, anghytbwysedig, gyda dau dr\u00ean yn eithaf agos at ei gilydd, a bwlch mawr. Yn waeth fyth, mae&#8217;r gwasanaeth ar hyn o bryd yn cael ei leihau i un tr\u00ean yr awr yn unig, gan adlewyrchu prinder staff gwirioneddol a disgwyliedig sy&#8217;n gysylltiedig \u00e2 Covid.<\/p>\n<p>Ac eto, ar yr un llwybr, mae Gogledd Orllewin Llundain wedi adfer ei wasanaeth Euston \u2013 Northampton &#8211; Birmingham yn gyflymach, ac wedi rhannu&#8217;r llall drwy wasanaethau i Birmingham yn Northampton. Yn sicr, ym myd newydd dewr GBR, dylai Avanti ddychwelyd i&#8217;r patrwm cyfnod hynod ddeniadol o 20 munud, a dylai unrhyw un drwy drenau drwy Northampton wasanaethu&#8217;r trefi nad yw Avanti yn eu gwneud? A dylai prisiau Avanti, wrth gwrs, gael eu gosod ar lefelau sy&#8217;n gyrru sifft moddol.<\/p>\n<p>Nid yw hyn yn golygu y dylai GBR reoli manylion yr amserlen.
