Hires at Cogitamus include former Transport Minister Tom Harris

Cogitamus Limited has expanded its public affairs team with a clutch of new hires, including former Transport Minister Tom Harris. Harris , a Labour MP for 14 years, served as Transport Minister from 2006-08, spanning both Tony Blair and Gordon Brown’s governments, with responsibility for rail, light rail, cycling and the trunk road network. After losing his seat in the 2015 election, he started his own consultancy, which he will continue to operate. With much fanfare in late March, it was announced that four parliamentary select committees – Environment Audit, Environment Food & Rural Affairs, Health and Transport – were to undertake a joint inquiry into the environmental issue of the day – improving our air quality.
